Garcia, Ben - June 7, 2010

 

Ben Garcia 69, died on June 7, 2010, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born November 1, 1940 in Monte Vista, Colorado to John Jake and Maggie Garcia. He married Irene Pena on December 28, 1966.
Ben spent lots of time fishing with friends and family; he worked construction for many years and retired from the Union. There was nothing he could not build or fix.
He is survived by his wife Irene, sons; Chris (Sissy), Tony (Lynn), Angelo (Martha), Alfred (Maria), Caboo, Milo and many, many grandchildren, brothers; John L. (Helen), Victor (Emily), and big sister Molly, and special nephew J. J. (Linda).
He was preceded in death by his father, John Jake, and mother, Maggie, and a brother, Manuel.
A Visitation will be held June 11, from 6-8 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 p.m., at the Garner Funeral Home, 1001 11th Ave. Salt Lake, Utah. Mass on Saturday June 12, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Church, 1058 West 400 South, Salt Lake City. Condolences may be sent to www.garnerfuneral.com
