Leete, Jessie W. - July 10, 2010

 

Jessie Wright Leete passed away on July 10, 2010, in Sandy, UT. She was born on September 3, 1925, to Amanda Louise Jenson and Hyrum Oliver Wright, in Park City, UT. She was a registered nurse who received her training during the last years of World War II. Jessie married John J. Leete on October 14, 1967. They were a loving and devoted couple. She is preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Jessie truly embodied the characteristics of the Greatest Generation with her hard work, kindness and generosity. Her family appreciates the competent and caring staff at Alta Ridge Assisted Living who gave Jessie wonderful care this past year. We also thank Millcreek Health and Hospice staff who helped Jessie in her final days. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Friday, July 16, 2010, at 10:00 AM in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 331 East South Temple Salt Lake City, UT. Interment will be at the Garner Funeral Home/Salt Lake Mausoleum. Jessie was such a wonderful, loving and caring person. We have so many happy memories of her; especially that she was the Matron of Honor at our wedding.
Jessie’s loving memory will always be cherished in our hearts. We are so thankful to have had her in our lives.

I was sorry to learn of Jessie's death.
Her husband, John, was my first boss when I graduated from college. He was a very good man, and a fun person. I enjoyed working for him.
