1931 – 2010

Our beloved mom, grandma and great grandma, passed away February 9, 2010 following a six month battle with cancer.
Mom was born to Arthur and Mattie Bowen on March 6, 1931. She married Henry Paul Keyes (later divorced) and together they had four sons. One of the last things mom said was how much she had enjoyed the time at home with her boys. She attended all of her son’s activities in and out of school and loved each of her sons unconditionally. She saw parenting as a lifetime responsibility. It is very difficult to imagine her not being a daily part of our lives.
Luella is survived by David (Bob), Donald (Tawna), and Daniel (Debra). She has 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her youngest son, Darren, parents and seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, at 2:00 pm at the Garner Funeral Home, 1001 11th Ave. where friends may call Thursday, February 11, from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to services on Friday.
