Searle, Wayne - May 29, 2010

Wayne Robert Nicholas Searle, 65, of Midway Utah died Saturday May 29th 2010.

Wayne was born in Redding England to the late George H. Searle and Gwynneth Betty Jopling Searle on February 18th 1945. Wayne graduated from Granite High School. He served four years in the United States Air Force. Following his tour of duty he received a bachelor’s degree from Westminster College and later earned a Juris Doctorate from Samford Law School in Birmingham, Alabama.
Wayne was a practicing attorney and was passionate about giving the indigent equal access to justice.
He helped mothers who had lost their children and provided legal expertise while they put their lives back together, often at his own expense.

Wayne loved the mountains and nature and cherished the Utah wilderness. He was an amazing skier and artist. He loved to sketch and paint the back country.

Wayne is survived by two children: Cris Wayne Searle of San Diego California and Alexianne Searle of Pasadena California. He is also survived by two grandchildren Sophia Magdelena Searle and Liliana Susan Searle both are children of Cris and Kim Searle. Wayne also leaves behind two sisters, Gwynneth Lovelady and Tessie Van Komen and one brother Ryan Searle. Wayne will be dearly missed by his beloved partner and cherished friend Barbara Holland.

A small service will be held June 17th, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Garner Funeral Home chapel located at 1001 11th Avenue Salt Lake City, Utah. Condolences may be sent to www.garnerfuneral.com
